Transfer Chute Key Specifications

CHP and AHP transfer points require spillage, dust, and fire control. UGES chutes are DEM-analyzed for optimal coal flow with fire-resistant construction and dual-liner systems for long wear life in continuous operation.
icon
Liner Material
AR400 steel for coal handling chutes; ceramic-lined impact zones at crusher discharges; UHMW-PE liners for wet ash handling to prevent material adhesion.
icon
Inlet/Outlet Size
Matched to CHP conveyor belt widths from 800 mm to 2000 mm; outlet geometry designed for centered belt loading to prevent tracking issues.
icon
Wear Life
AR-lined coal chutes: 24-48 months; ceramic-lined high-impact zones: 48-72 months; UHMW-PE ash chute liners: 18-30 months between replacements.
icon
DEM Analysis
DEM simulation of coal particle flow through each transfer point, optimizing trajectory control, minimizing belt-edge spillage, and reducing dust liberation at chute outlets.
icon
Fire Safety Features
Fire-resistant construction with spark-containment design; compatible with water spray and foam suppression systems per power station fire safety protocols.
icon
Material Throughput
Coal chutes designed for 500 TPH to 4,000 TPH; ash handling chutes for 50 TPH to 500 TPH, matching CHP and AHP conveyor circuit capacities.

Industrial Applications

Transfer chutes in power plants must handle coal efficiently while managing dust, spillage, and fire risk. UGES designs every chute as a system — integrating flow control, dust suppression, and wear protection for reliable operation between scheduled maintenance outages.
Application 1

Wagon Tippler to Primary Conveyor Transfer

Heavy-duty impact chute receives coal from the wagon tippler hopper onto the first belt conveyor with rock box impact zone, AR liners, and integrated dust extraction hoods.
Application 2

Coal Crusher Discharge to Conveyor

Post-crusher transfer chute redirects crushed coal (-25 mm) onto the downstream conveyor with DEM-optimized geometry for centered loading and minimal belt wear.
Application 3

Stacker-Reclaimer Boom Transfer Points

Compact transfer chutes at stacker-reclaimer boom head and tail sections manage coal flow during stacking and reclaiming operations with minimal spillage on the stockyard.
